Crowns & bridges

Restore a tooth, keep your smile

Crowns and bridges are two of the most common restorative procedures in dentistry… and for good reason.
They work, they last, and they bring back both the function and appearance of teeth that have been damaged or lost.

What is a dental crown?

A crown is a cap that fits over a damaged tooth, restoring its shape, strength, and appearance. It covers the tooth completely and once it's in place, it functions just like a natural tooth.
Crowns are typically recommended when a tooth is cracked, broken, severely decayed, or has had a root canal. They protect what's left of the tooth and keep it functioning the way it should.

What getting a crown involves

Most crowns take two visits.
01
Visit 1
At the first, we prepare the tooth, take impressions, and fit you with a temporary crown while the permanent one is being made.
02
Visit 2
At the second visit, the permanent crown goes on.
03
Visit 3
We go over what to expect at each step before we start so there are no surprises along the way.

What is a dental bridge?

A bridge fills the gap left by a missing tooth. It uses the teeth on either side of the gap as anchors, with a false tooth suspended in between. The result is a fixed, natural-looking replacement that restores both your bite and your smile.
Bridges are a good option when the neighboring teeth are healthy enough to support them. If that's not the case, we'll talk through alternatives (including implants) and help you figure out what makes the most sense.

Why it’s worth addressing sooner rather than later

A cracked or missing tooth isn't just a cosmetic issue. Over time, surrounding teeth can shift, your bite can change, and what started as a manageable problem becomes a more complicated one.
Getting it taken care of early is almost always simpler and less expensive than waiting.
